A first for me... a resophonic 17 fret tenor banjo. The brief was "dragonflies, Japanese, Art Deco". A lot of fun to design and build. The body is a 12" diameter maple pot with a radiused back. The neck is walnut with sustainably sourced ebony fretboard and peghead overlay. The body is veneered with burl walnut, marquetry and inlay. The headstock has acid etched brass and mother of pearl inlay. Ghoto tuners and Beard Reso cone and cover plate make for a sweet sounding and unique tenor banjo.
